The JJK Gurukulam is located at a vantage point 8 km north-east of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) in Vattiyoorkavu near Natanagramam in the South-Indian state of Kerala.

JJK Gurukulam has taken up the issue of protecting children of less-privileged and dysfunctional families to give them an opportunity to lead normal lives.

The aim of the Gurukulam is to promote and preserve the age-old Indian way of life based on Vedic heritage and the vision that sustains it.

A Gurukulam is a place where a teacher and students live together and
learn the
scriptures.

Janaka Janani Kripa Gurukulam has been set up in Trivandrum under the spiritual guidance of Swami Tattvarupananda Saraswati who is a disciple of Swami Dayananda Saraswati.

We are conducting regularly pilgrimages to Himalayas, North India and South India

In ancient India the custom was that when a child becomes 7 or 8 years old, he stayed with the Guru (master/teacher) for 12 years and learned the scriptures. It has been proved now that this is the best system to impart knowledge to a child. Such a tradition is being maintained in our JJK Gurukulam.

JanakaJananiKripa : Janaka (‘father’), Janani (‘mother’), Kripa (‘mercy or compassion’). JanakaJananiKripa means the mercy or compassion of father and mother.
